Recording Studio Questions, Answered

Everything artists usually ask before their first session at EO's Studio in Kitchener, Ontario.

Book a Session

Where is EO's Studio located?

6 Old Huron Ct, Kitchener, ON N2R 1L6 — south Kitchener, just off Highway 401, with free on-site parking. Roughly 15 minutes from Waterloo, 15 from Cambridge and about 30 from Guelph.

How do I book a recording session?

Use the booking form on the home page. It asks what you're recording, how long you need, how many people are coming and your preferred date and time — then you get a personal reply with availability and rates.

How much does a session cost?

Rates depend on session length and how much production and mixing the project needs. Describe your project in the booking form and you'll get a straight quote before committing.

How long should I book for?

Most single-song vocal sessions run three to four hours. Full production or band tracking usually needs a longer block or several sessions. Not sure? Say so in the form and you'll get a recommendation.

What should I bring?

Lyrics or charts, reference tracks, your own instruments if you play them, and your beats or session files on a drive or in the cloud. Microphones, preamps, monitoring and the rooms are all here.

Do you mix and master tracks recorded elsewhere?

Yes. Send your stems or session files and we'll mix and master them. Mention how many songs are involved when you book.

When do I get my final mixes?

You review a rough mix before leaving the session, and final mixes are delivered afterwards. Turnaround depends on the project size and is confirmed when you book.

Do you record podcasts or voiceover?

Yes — the isolated booth suits podcast episodes, voiceover and audiobook recording, with editing available on request.

Is this a good studio for a first-time artist?

Yes. Every session is one-on-one with producer Elijah Orantes, who explains the process as you go. Setup and sound check aren't billed as session time.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 AM. Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Late sessions are normal here.

Which areas do you serve?

Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and the wider Region of Waterloo. See the Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge pages.
